Four things that keep me busy outside of work.

Being a dad and husband
Swim meets, soccer games, recitals, and all the practices in between. That's the life of a dad.
Then there's the other half, being a supportive husband, helping my wife with her real estate business. Everything from residential photography and drone videos to fixing a faulty thermostat.
During breaks, we enjoy traveling to new places and getting a taste of different cultures, and I mean that in the most literal sense. We love food. But we're equally happy hopping on a cruise to chill for a few days.

Spirited driving, on track or on the sim
Sonoma is my home track, and I want to get back to Laguna Seca. From the NA Miata to the GT3, the sound of the engine roaring and the tires screeching, barely holding the pavement as I turn into the hairpin, is what gets my heart racing.
The highlight so far was three days at Porsche driving school, one course short of qualifying for a professional race license. Getting that license would be the dream. But when I can't get on the track, there's always the sim rig at home.

Climbing the ranks
From Duck Hunt and Mario in the early days to immersive RPGs like Final Fantasy VII, video games have been a constant. Making them was the first thing I wanted to do when I grew up, and getting to work at EA, Twitch, and PlayStation was a dream come true.
Life doesn't allow grinding 40 hours leveling up in an RPG anymore, but I still squeeze in a 20-min sesh of Wild Rift every now and then. Mobile games are my go-to, though I occasionally play Call of Duty on PC.

Building on nights and weekends
Two apps so far, Tripeaz and Math Sheets Unlimited, plus figma-code-sync, an open-source tool I built along the way to keep my code and Figma components from drifting.
Each one started as a problem I had, and because of what AI has now enabled, I could build the fix for myself. They're not intended to make money, but they're fun to build, and I get to learn new things.
Some of my favorite things.
- Place
- Tokyo
- Theme park
- DisneySea
- Food
- Ramen
- Drink
- Oolong Milk Tea
- Sports team
- Golden State Warriors
- Activity
- Fishing
I find quiet nights are the best time to build.
Tripeaz
Every trip I plan with others turns into multiple group chats and spreadsheets that need constant updating. I built a tool to manage the chaos.

I searched online for math worksheets for my grade-schoolers and never found the right ones, so I built a tool to generate them with a few taps.

My Figma library and code kept drifting apart, so I built something to keep them in sync. Now open source for solo builders and small teams.
