Creating the right conditions is what makes good design possible. I've done that on both ends of the spectrum. Defined a new playbook for how a small team works and ships on Poe, a zero-to-one AI product. Shaped how a mature product like Quora adapts to AI without breaking what works.

The context changes.
The instinct doesn't.

Over the past decade, I've led design at Quora, Twitch, and PlayStation. Different industries, different scales, different constraints. But all these platforms serve multiple sides of a market, where the needs of consumers, creators, and partners rarely align. Designing within that tension is what sharpened my design instincts and refined how I think about users, tradeoffs, and where design can have the most impact.

Find the right levers.

Not every problem needs a big solution. Sometimes it's the right tool that eliminates a dependency. Sometimes it's shifting ownership. The job is finding the thing that actually moves the needle before designing the solution.

Lean into AI.

Not just building AI products. Reimagining how work gets done with AI from the ground up. How designers prototype, how code gets written, how design and engineering collaborate.

Design the process.

Planning rhythms, how work moves from idea to shipped, and even team rituals. These aren't administrative details. They're design decisions that determine whether good work is even possible.

Create the conditions.

Design rarely fails for lack of taste. It fails for lack of conditions. An environment where craft happens at scale, not just in the best case. A unified design system that makes good work the default. Tools that give designers more control and speed. The levers, the process, and the feedback loops are all in service of this. Someone has to build the environment where it all comes together. That's the job.
